SONY is launching the latest batch of its flagship smart TV soon and has revealed some cool new features on these screens.
Sony will launch its new range of Smart TV for 2022 in the coming weeks and before the launch we take a look at the new screens. And they certainly look incredibly impressive. The Japanese firm announced its latest and largest Google Boxes at the CES Technology Show in Las Vegas in January, and this stunning display is expected to hit the store shelves in the coming months.
Although there is no official word on when you will be able to purchase one of these new TVs, Express.co.uk has been fortunate enough to see the full range of new Sony TVs live and excited about it. There are plenty of updates to be had. Includes better photos, a new remote control and a camera that ensures you always have the best experience.
If you like all of Sony's stuff, here are the top five features coming soon.
UPGRADED REMOTE
Sony is also adding a new remote with its latest batch of smart TVs, redesigning a sleek aluminum with easy access via dedicated buttons to all popular streaming services, including Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ doing.
There are also backlit keys to make it easier to change channels at sunset, and this channel changer now has a simple "seeker" mode. If you lose it under the sofa, a quick voice command will trigger an instant alert from the speaker inside the remote so you can find it again.
Sony has also confirmed that along with this new metal remote, its TVs will also be shipped with a standard plastic controller that will include a full number pad instead of the minimalist interface of the metal version. The only downside is that they both run on AAA batteries, so there are no smart solar charging features that come with Samsung's new remote.
IMPROVED DISPLAY
Smart TVs get better and better every year, and Sony is proud that its 2022 models offer bigger advantages over its predecessors. Many different displays are available, including fast OLED models, bright Mini OLEDs, and cheap LED models.
If you go for flagship OLED screens, you will get a very close experience of how Hollywood directors want you to see their content.
Sony also has an intelligent cognitive processor XR that understands how humans see and hear to help improve images and audio.
Sony is also promising bright white and darker blacks with its new OLED screens, and this new panel can increase color brightness by up to 200% compared to traditional TVs.
If you choose a Mini LED TV, expect lots of great pictures with these screens offering Sony's widest color palette. Intelligent cognitive processors are also XR and X-Anti Reflection technology that reduces glare for a distracted viewing experience.
BRAVIA CAM
A novelty for 2022 is the BRAVIA CAM, which comes standard on the firm's most premium television.
The camera sits on top of the television and can identify where users are sitting to improve image and sound. This means you don't have to search the settings manually in the hope of finding perfect images.
The BRAVIA CAM also allows users to control things on the screen via gestures, plus it can be used to make video calls without reaching the phone or laptop.
IMPROVED STANDS
Most of Sony's latest smart TVs come with a neat feature that helps them fit into every room. These screens now have an adjustable stand, which allows you to increase or decrease the height.
If you have a sound bar or you want your skybox under the TV, move things up, but anyone who wants a smoother look can move them back down. This is a really good idea which should definitely be followed by more manufacturers.
SMALLER SCREENS
In recent years, the whole world has grown with the growing trend of big screen television. Fortunately, Sony has not forgotten consumers who want smaller screens, and the firm has launched the new 42-inch Master Series A90K premium models.
These TVs also get better sound thanks to the new remote control, acoustic surface audio, and significantly better visuals. Despite their small size, they also look impressive with thin bezels around the screen.
